Adam Johnson was appointed as NOVA Entertainment’s Chief Growth Officer in January 2022.
With over 18 years business and marketing experience across media, digital and global technology, prior to joining NOVA Entertainment Johnson was based in London in the role Chief Marketing Officer at Global, one of the world’s leading media and entertainment companies.
As CMO of one of Europe’s largest commercial radio groups (including Capital, Heart, LBC and Classic FM) and a leading outdoor media business in the UK, Adam and his team were responsible for overseeing Global’s activities across the Marketing spectrum, including Brand Marketing, Communications, Customer Support and B2B Marketing. Johnson also led Global’s direct-to-consumer Enterprise division.
During his six year tenure Johnson helped deliver record audience figures, pioneered digital audio growth with the launch of Global Player and integrated out-of-home into Global’s commercial positioning and B2B marketing efforts.
Prior to joining Global, Adam was the UK Marketing Director for Microsoft’s Mobile Devices division, responsible for the development and delivery of Microsoft’s smartphone Marketing strategy.
Johnson spent eight years in Sydney from 2003 to 2011, initially with the creative agencies George Patterson/Y&R before taking on a client-side role at Nokia Australia in 2006.
