Rob is from Nottingham in England, where he started his career as a studio guitarist playing on an alarming number of ‘one-hit wonders’ before ending up in brand strategy.
Over the next three decades, Rob led teams globally at Wieden+Kennedy (China), R/GA (London/Europe), Deutsch (USA) and now Colenso (New Zealand), where he helped create multi award-winning ideas for some of the world’s most creatively demanding brands, including Nike, Spotify, Gentle Monster, Honda and LVMH.
Beyond advertising, Rob has spent nearly a decade working with some of the most respected and successful bands, singers and artists in music, helping them explore the possibilities of how their creative vision and voice can be fully expressed, experienced and communicated.
Absolutely none of this impresses his 10-year-old son, Otis, in the slightest.
