Terms & Conditions
We don’t have many rules, but the ones we do have matter.
By purchasing a ticket to State of Social, you agree to these Terms and Conditions, as well as our Code of Conduct. Please take a moment to familiarise yourself with both. Many common questions are also covered in our FAQ.
The Fine Print
We reserve the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions, including the Code of Conduct, and to make changes to the advertised program. This may include adding, withdrawing, or substituting speakers, sessions, or content where necessary.
Tickets & Attendance
Tickets are issued per delegate and provide access to the full two-day event. Tickets cannot be split, shared, or transferred between days.
Each attendee must wear their issued lanyard and wristband at all times to access event spaces. Wristbands must not be removed or altered. We reserve the right to refuse entry or request removal from the event if valid identification cannot be provided to confirm the registered attendee.
Subject to applicable laws and the venue’s terms of entry, we also reserve the right to remove any attendee who breaches these Terms and Conditions or the Code of Conduct.
Can I go to Day One and send my colleague to Day Two?
No. No way. Definitely not. The same person must attend both days. We will be checking lanyards and wristbands so don’t forget (or remove) yours.
Refunds, Transfers & Changes
We want you to register with confidence. You can receive a full refund for your ticket within 7 days of purchase, provided the request is made before 31 May 2026.
Outside of this period, refunds are not available. However, tickets may be transferred to another attendee or resold. All transfers must be completed before the published cut-off date and in accordance with our ticket transfer process.
Discounts cannot be applied retroactively to previously purchased tickets.
Event Changes or Disruption
If State of Social is postponed, your ticket will remain valid for the rescheduled date.
If State of Social is cancelled, refund or credit options will be communicated directly to ticket holders in accordance with applicable consumer laws.
We are not responsible for costs beyond the ticket price, including travel, accommodation, or other associated expenses.
Health & Safety
The health and safety of our attendees, speakers, staff, and partners is important to us.
We ask all attendees to act responsibly. If you are feeling unwell, please do not attend the event. We reserve the right to implement reasonable health and safety measures in accordance with venue requirements or government guidance in effect at the time of the event.
Privacy & Belongings
We are not responsible for any loss or damage to personal property. Please look after your belongings (and your lanyard!) at all times. By attending, you agree to our Privacy Policy regarding the collection of data and event photography.
Code of Conduct
State of Social is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for everyone. Our Code of Conduct applies to all attendees, speakers, sponsors, staff, and partners.
Breaches of the Code of Conduct may result in removal from the event without refund.
